No hard feelings is what ditched ” Project Runway” reality TV contestant Kelli Martin had to say during a visit to Connecticut Saturday.
The young fashion designer, who posed with fans during an appearance Saturday at the L’Oreal Paris store at Westfarms mall, said she is pulling for contestant Leeanne Marshall, one of the finalists on the show’s finale scheduled for Wednesday at 9 p.m. on Bravo TV.
Marshall is competing against Kenley Collins and Korto Momolu for a cash prize to start their own clothing line, a new car and a feature in Elle magazine.
Martin, who posed with fans at the store’s makeover event cosponsored by Elle, said “life has gone on” since being booted from the show, and she is still designing and moving forward with her own fashion line.
“I can’t, however, reproduce the dress that I designed for Brooke Shields,” she said about the doomed two-piece leopard trimmed outfit that one show judge, designer Michael Kors, called “slutty, ” before he and the other judges, including host Heidi Klum, voted Martin off. “We sign an agreement that we won’t reproduce anything we design on the show once we are off.”
