Stag: A Test of Love" Reality TV Show Adds 110 CW Affiliates

The viewing audience of the hit reality TV show “Stag: A Test of Love” will increase by 10.5 million homes when it begins airing December 20, 2008 on 110 affiliates of The CW Television Network.

The additional clearance comes from an agreement with The CW PLUS, the division of the network that programs stations in the country’s 100+ television markets. Combining the show’s current broadcast exposure with these additional CW stations will provide viewing to a total of 42 million homes in 161 market areas.

The “Stag” format is based on the taping of activities of the prospective groom or bride during their pre-wedding bachelor party. Usually the last night of partying is very unrestrained and people let off steam, making for a memorable video that is viewed by the couple the following day.

Tommy Habeeb, the prolific producer of the controversial series, now in its 5th season, has been a pioneer in reality TV shows and has been an innovative force in the changing habits of the TV viewer for many years.

TV Guide’s review stated: “Tommy was the producer and first host of ‘Cheaters,’ a show that changed the face of reality TV. Somehow he has now managed to equal his first show by stepping up the concept. Here we have couples about to get married and who allow the male’s bachelor party to be filmed.”

Russell H. Myerson, Executive V.P., General Manager of The CW PLUS, remarked, “We are delighted to add another Tommy Habeeb production to our weekend late night schedule on The CW PLUS stations. ‘Stag: A Test of Love’ will be a fun addition to one of Tommy’s first successes, ‘Cheaters.’”
